Technical monitoring autumn 2009/winter 2010 PDF

vbk_karta_profili.jpgMonitoring of the Grand Backa Canal water and sediments quality is continuing until autumn 2012 and it is funded by the Fund for Environmental Protection aka “Ekofond” of the Republic of Serbia. Monitoring report for the autumn 2009/winter 2010 is completed and submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and Hot Spot project team while the 2010 spring/summer season monitoring has started. Phase IV.2 construction works PDF
iv.2_website_custom.jpg The construction works of the main waste water collector Kula – Vrbas, Phase IV.2  Ch. 8+061.40 km - 10+019.00 km in municipality of Vrbas were completed on 22 April 2010. From 22 - 30 April, the Contractor “Graditelj NS” shall carry out hydraulic testing of the pipeline and internal pipeline monitoring as required. Complete attestations for the in built materials will be ready by the 3 May 2010. If the weather allows the Contractor plans to complete site clearing works. The  Technical acceptance is set for 1 May 2010.
 
Monitoring of surface water and sediments quality in the Grand Backa Canal PDF
treci.jpgThe Western Balkan Environmental Monitoring and Field Surveillance Training took place on 6-7 May 2009, in Montenegro. During this occasion, the UNDP Serbia and the project counterparts from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and the Vrbas municipality, presented latest results from technical monitoring of surface water and sediments quality  in the Grand Backa Canal. Monitoring was undertaken during one hydrological season: October – December 2008 and the final draft report was submitted in April 2009. Presentation from the training can be downloaded here: monitoring_vbk_08_09

skica.jpgMonitoring of surface water and sediments in the Grand Backa Canal in autumn 2008/winter 2009 hydrological season  is done in the framework of UNDP Serbia project component.  The objective of this monitoring is to provide guidance data about the quality of water for the CWWTP design and overall data of surface water quality for the relevant authorities. Monitoring will also provide data about the sediments to support development of technical documentation for the “Remediation of the Grand Backa Canal” in Vrbas.
