Signed contracts with non governmental organizations PDF
In the premises of the Municipality of Vrbas, on 8 July 2009 were signed agreements on the implementation of the subprojects with representatives of non-governmental organizations: Environmental Movement of Vrbas and the Movement of Nature Conservation of Vrbas municipality. The aim of the project is the implementation of activities in protected natural resources, Nature Park Jegricka in cooperation with management authority - the public management company „Vode Vojvodine“, and Nature Monument Carnok, than education of children and citizens, organization of health pats along Jegricka River, setting of wooden tables, benches and environmental information boards in this protected natural resources.
 
Focus Groups report PDF

The objective of the Focus Group report was to assess public awareness about the environmental situation in Vrbas and Remediation of Grand Backa Canal project.

vfokes_grupe_002.jpgIn this respect, the First Meeting of the two Focus Groups for baseline monitoring was held on 12 June 2008. There were two focus groups, formal and non formal. The first focus group included 11 participants, which represented polluting companies (Carnex-Meat Processing-Vrbas, Eterna-Kula, etc.) and also included municipal representatives (mayor of the Vrbas and Kula municipality, local community government officials, community waste management company, etc.) and other stakeholders representatives. The second focus group included 12 participants among which were civil society representatives (non-governmental organization representatives, mainly those  dealing with environmental issues, civil associations, etc.), health practitioners, media people representatives, sport club representative as well as some community members living in vicinity of polluted area. The response of both groups were excellent. The participants responded to a series of questions related to how they were informed and what they knew about UNDP project, effectiveness and impact of the action, project relevance and expected sustainability as well as project efficiency.

Call for Registration of Environmental Experts / Companies / Institutions / Organizations PDF

The Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Serbia implements the project entitled "Strengthening capacities in the Western Balkans countries to address environmental problems through remediation of high priority hot spots".
One of the project objectives is to strengthen the supply of environmental professional consultancy services in the Western Balkans region by creating a comprehensive database which will serve to efficiently identify, select and contract experts and companies/institutions/organizations for specific assignments in the field of environmental protection. The database will be available to the general public, local/national authorities for use in their own procurement procedures, as well as to donors and the private sector.
UNDP Serbia invites experts and companies/institutions/organizations to register in the Database of Western Balkans Environmental Consultants by December 15th 2008. A complete set of registration documents (including questionnaires and CV form), as well as more detailed information, is available at: http://www.undp.org.rs/?event=public.envreg and was published in "Politika" the edition for whole Serbia from October 21st 2008.
